Seemingly a perfect blend between a full-size camera lens and a mobile phone, the X908 is one intriguing piece of Chinese engineering. Add dual SIM support and built-in analog TV tuner and you've got yourself a tasty package.
With a retractable 3x optical zoom lens on the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front, the X908 should probably be counted as one high-end cameraphone. With a yet unidentified brand, the X908 packs dual SIM, dual microSD slot design and offers a 262K-color touchscreen 3-inch QVGA TFT display for watching your favorite TV shows on-the-go. There's also a built-in FM radio tuner and stereo Bluetooth (A2DP).
If those are not enough for you, another intriguing feature is the pre-installed NES emulator, which allows playing a wide choice of Nintendo games.
The real downers (although not really surprising) are the lack of 3G and the dual-band GSM support. You can't have it all, we guess, but this device comes real close. Still we wouldn't be too euphoric about this phone before we see it perform but it seems promising to say the least. And we really hope that those 8 megapixels are the real deal and not some interpolated stuff.
The dimensions of the X908 are 115 x 55 x 20mm and its weight is the rather hefty 140g. There are still no indications when or whether it will arrive to European markets.
